Manam Comfort Filipino: Reviews & Ratings
Overall experience with Manam is amazing! Staff is very attentive with us and the food is amazing as always. I would like to comment on the Gising Gising to have it a little bit of spice. Staff may ask if customers preference with the food/gising gising if they would like it spicy or not. We would like to commend Sir Gilbert for being a good server. And, overall we had a great experience as always in Manam. Visit Manam Greenbelt!
Had friends who were in the Philippines for the first time and brought them to Manam as a way to introduce them to Filipino cuisine, as it’s super popular with locals. Ordered a bunch of seafood and tofu dishes as one of us can’t eat pork but I was pleasantly surprised! The Sinigang na Hipon was especially popular with them and they really enjoyed their meal 4 stars only because it’s not necessarily the most accommodating for certain dietary restrictions (no pork/vegetarian) as I was informed that a lot of the dishes are pre-portioned so can’t request things to not be included in the dish. Not a massive deal breaker though as can find ways around. Our servers Kuya Ace and Ate Jessilyn were especially lovely, considering we had loads of questions. Would still visit again!
Manam Manila has a lively, fast-paced atmosphere, filled with families and constant movement—very much a home-style, everything-happening-at-once kind of energy. The place feels warm and dynamic, with conversations, plates moving quickly, and a steady buzz throughout the dining room. The food arrived efficiently and was satisfying, offering comforting Filipino flavors that feel familiar and generous. Service was quick and attentive, clearly used to managing a high-volume crowd while keeping things running smoothly. Overall, Manam Manila delivers a vibrant, family-friendly dining experience where everything moves fast, feels alive, and reflects the spirit of a busy Filipino household.
Manam’s tagline is ‘Comfort Filipino’ and seems to live up to its name, judging by the many local families and groups of friends tucking in with gusto. We had a few dishes - kare-kare, gising-gising and the butterflied pla pla fish. The fish in particular was excellent: crispy on the outside and just cooked on the inside. The wait staff were efficient, especially considering how crowded the restaurant was. Although it sometimes took a while to get their attention, our server remembered our orders and was prompt in ensuring our dessert was served. I think it’s a good place for newcomers to Filipino food. Be prepared to wait for a table though!
We waited about 1 hour to get a seat and another 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The waiting time was quite long. However, the food did not disappoint — everything we ordered was delicious and very satisfying. The flavors were well-balanced. If you plan to dine here, be prepared for a long wait, especially during peak hours. Overall, great food.
I like the serving sizes. Small is for one person, medium is for 2-3, large is.. I didn’t listen well coz there were just two of us. The helpings are true-to-size We paid just 2300 for two people. Not bad as we got really full. More importantly, the flavors are real Pinoy. Also, the staff are accommodating and attentive.
Jessilyn was are server very accommodating and fast service. The food was absolutely delicious and worth it. The flavors were well-balanced, the ingredients tasted fresh, and every bite was satisfying. The portion was generous and the presentation was pleasing. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend to others. Most recommend is the singang sa pakwan
It was a Filipino experience, wish the food was also top notch. I ordered the sizzling crispy sinigang, beef salpicao & garlic and garlic rice. Sinigang was OK but the beef was chewy. Rice OK, as to be expected. The table was not stable, too much noise inside, needs a bit more sound absorbing materials. Overall an OK experience.
